Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Family Hope Program (Program Keluarga Harapan, PKH) from the perspective of Maqasid al-Shariah in addressing poverty within families. Maqasid al-Shariah is a concept that emphasizes the objectives or purposes of fundamental Islamic law, including the preservation of the interests and welfare of society. The research method used is descriptive analysis by gathering data from various literature and relevant documents. The analysis results indicate that the implementation of PKH can be understood as a genuine effort to achieve the objectives of Maqasid al-Shariah, particularly in terms of protecting poor families and fulfilling their basic needs. This program provides financial assistance to poor families for education, health, and nutrition, which directly contributes to fulfilling the basic objectives of Maqasid, namely religion, life, intellect, wealth, and lineage. However, some aspects of PKH implementation still require special attention from the perspective of Maqasid al-Shariah. For example, it is important to ensure that the assistance provided is not only social funds but also empowers recipients to become economically self-reliant, in line with the principle of public welfare in Maqasid al-Shariah. Additionally, distributive justice is also an important consideration, where the allocation and distribution of PKH funds must be fair and equitable according to actual needs. In this context, this research concludes that the implementation of PKH in addressing poverty can be seen as a positive step that aligns with the principles of Maqasid al-Shariah. However, to enhance the effectiveness and fairness of the program, a deeper understanding of Maqasid al-Shariah concepts and a more holistic approach in planning and implementing PKH are required
