IBNU HAJAR'S MOVEMENT: A REVIEW OF SIYASAH SYAR'IYYAH
Keywords:
Ibn Hadjar, rebellion, sharia syar'iyyahAbstract
Ibn Hadjar's movement in Kandangan, South Kalimantan, has come under scrutiny as an unlawful rebellion from the perspective of siyasah shar'iyyah. Ibnu Hadjar (April 19, 1920 - March 22, 1965), a figure involved in the Indonesian independence movement, led the resistance against the Dutch colonial government, but was considered the opposite, namely a rebel. This paper aims to analyze Ibnu Hadjar's movement from the perspective of siyasah syar'iyyah and its impact on the legitimacy of Islamic Law in Banjar, South Kalimantan. Through literature research and primary sources, we analyze the arguments used to support and oppose the assessment of Ibn Hadjar's movement as rebellious. The conclusion of this research will provide a deeper understanding of Ibn Hadjar's movement from the perspective of siyasah syar'iyyah. Although considered a rebel by some, this assessment is still debated in the context of historians in South Kalimantan. This debate shows the complexity of understanding resistance movements and the application of legal principles in specific historical and political contexts. As if Islamic law applied at that time. This research is expected to contribute to further discussions on the relationship between political movements and Islamic law in the context of the independence movement in Indonesia, especially in the context of the death penalty for rebels.
