Intellectual property rights are legal protections for creative and innovative works to prevent illegal exploitation and encourage owners. The problem with submitting Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to MSME actors generally lies in the lack of awareness and understanding of the importance of IPR, as well as the complexity of the filing process which is felt to be complicated and time consuming. Many MSMEs do not realize the need to protect their creative output, so that their products are vulnerable to copyright, trademark or patent infringement. In addition, the lack of access to information and support resources means that many MSMEs are unable to follow the application process properly, hindering their efforts to protect intellectual property and create a competitive advantage. It is important for business owners to understand the importance of protecting their intellectual work through various types of intellectual property rights such as copyrights, patents, trademarks and others. The purpose of this article is to help MSME actors understand the importance of protecting their intellectual property rights as a step to increase competitiveness through the role of stakeholders in the strategy to accelerate the submission of intellectual property rights for MSME products.
